Cancelled – CERCA Spring 2020 Conference

acquireMeetings, News

Dear CERCA Members,We hope that you and your families are well. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event, and we are appreciative of the healthcare workers, local communities and governments who are on the front lines working to contain the coronavirus.

In line with the countless other cancellations that you’ve all received, we unfortunately must inform you that the CERCA Spring 2020 Conference to be held on May 21st has been cancelled as we have been informed by the Renaissance Hotel that they will remain closed until at least through June 1, 2020.

CERCA’s mission is to partner with the IRS to help taxpayers.  In this time of need, we can and will do all that we can to help those who will need assistance with filing tax returns, receiving refunds, answering questions about stimulus payments and new tax relief, etc.

In the days and weeks ahead, CERCA will be sharing with you important and critical information regarding the 2020 tax filing season as well as any coronavirus stimulus and emergency relief package that is voted on by Congress.

CERCA’s Legislative Implementation and Digital Services Working Groups will continue their work with the IRS through conference calls. We will of course inform you of these calls as they are scheduled.

Please mark your calendars for the Fall 2020 CERCA Conference which is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2020 with Working Groups scheduled for the next day, Thursday, October 22nd, at the same location, the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel.   (Assuming that we’re on the other side of this pandemic, we’ll all be ready to celebrate the end of the “never-ending” tax season!)

If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either VIckie Hull (571.236.9784) or me (202.440.3613) directly by phone or email at [email protected].

The CERCA Board and both Vickie and I wish you, your companies, and your families the best during this time.
